My most tired record!!

Hello everyone!!

This week was great! We have been working really hard!! This week we had a training meeting with all of the leaders in the mission and the president, AND I GOT TO SEE MY MOM IN THE MISSION!!!! And sister Torres who was my roommate in the CTM ,it was soo amazing and it was fun to meet all of the leaders in the mission they are really cool and I have been able to learn so much from them!! We also have been teaching a bunch of new investigators, we have one named Larissa and she could be baptised anytime but she thinks its to soon, the other is Gabriel, he's really cool and he is marked for the 18 of November so any prayers would help. There is so much work waiting for us in this area, I can feel it and I'm super excited! Our area is GIANT, like we have to take buses and the metro to get around. Sao paulo is like the New York of Brazil and now I'm in the middle of it, its crazy but Im learning lots of new things. Our church here is giant but there aren't a ton of active members so we are also working with a lot of menos ativos. Also this week, Saturday night I think I broke a record of the most tired I have been on my mission, like I almost fell asleep eating my eggs my comp made for me, then we received a call from our bishop asking if we could talk in church the next day.....preparing my talk I fell asleep on my scriptures. When we woke up we had to go to pick all of our investigators up so basically I was winging it hard time but I talked for a good 10 mins and the members seemed to understand, the spirit was helping me out big time.......Well this week was really good! Next week we are going to start doing splits with all the sisters we take care of so I'm excited to see all their areas and get to know them all better. I didnt take too many pictures this week but I will send the ones that I have. Well that is about it for this week. Oh yeah, my companion is amazing, she cooks super good and she sings really well too. I'm actually really sad that this will be her last transfer......This week my testimony was strengthened so much on how if the lord asks us to do something and we do it with faith he with help us more than we ever thought possible! I know that he lives and loves us! I love you all and I hope your week was as good as mine!! Amo todos voces e ate proxima semana, Beijo!

Transfers!!!

Hello everyone!!

I do not even know where to begin! This week was amazing and wild...... First of all,JOSE WAS BAPTIZED and it was amazing!!! The ward is really doing a lot to help him and the other big news.... I got transferred!! But seeing Jose be baptized was a good way to go!! We also got to have divisions with some other sisters in our zone because one of them will go home and she had to go to a training in the mission office so her companion, sister Black who was in the CTM stayed with us and it was a lot of fun!! We also had our Festa Julhina here which is kind of like Halloween but not really, haha everyone just dresses up like farmers and they have a big party. Some other missionaries came for that too so it was a lot of fun!!

5 Months!!!

Hello everyone!

This week was a good one, not a ton happened but none the less it was a good week! Jose's baptism fell through again but I think this Saturday is going to be the day, I will update you next week but any prayers would help, we are still working with him with the word of wisdom but this week is his week, I know it! This week we had divisions in Mogi Centro and it was a lot of fun, I learned a lot! When we got there we realized we had 4 people and 2 twin sized beds so we pushed them together and all 4 of us slept there haha! We worked a lot with Jose and Larisa this week. Larisa told us she wants to get married so we are working on getting that all figured out and we still have a lot of work to do with her but none the less we are excited! We made a ton of new investigators this we too so we are excited to see what will happen! I also hit 5 months in the mission on the 13th so that was crazyyyyyy, and transfers will be next pday so we will see whats going to happen. Everyone is telling me I'm going to get transfered but with the new president none of us have any idea what is going to happen! I will update you next week! I would really like to stay in Vila Virginia but I am getting the feeling that is not the case....Then today for pday we had pday with our zone and we hiked pico do urubo, it was soooooo beautiful, I will send pictures, but it was a lot of fun to get to know my zone better, brasilians are crazy hahah, I love it! I will send some pictures of that too! Well I don't have much time but this week was a good one! I hope you are all doing fantastic and I will see you in 13 months!! eu amo todas voces!

New Mission President!

Another great week down here in Brasil! Well, sad news Brasil lost and is no longer in the world cup but good news, the church is still true! This week was a little tougher, almost all of our compromisos fell through and Jose was not baptized BUT none the less it was still a good week because the Lords work is the work of joy! We re-marked Jose to be baptized this Saturday and we are still working with him and the word of wisdom! This week we also had zone conference with our new President! President and sister Miller are from Canada! Well they're from the USA but they moved to Canada for medical school and President Miller's career! President Miller played football at BYU and then went to medical school to be an orthopedic surgeon of some sort. They are very loving and I am excited to get to know them more! Sister Miller doesn't know any Portuguese yet so she had me help her translate a little bit to talk to the Brazilian missionaries! It was so cute haha! Then after zone conference we went to get acai with some of our district because Elder Villacreses hit 3 months in the mission! Also our mission president told us we should try to get to know our district and zone better so we can be more united! I think next P-day we are going to hike Pico do urubo with our zone and I am stoked! Today for P-day we went to the zoo with an Irma in our ward and some of her kids! It was so much fun! I hope you all had an amazing 4th of July! I may be here in Brazil but I've still got my American pride and celebrated with my companion and represented the Red, White and Blue! I hope you all had an amazing week and that you are finding time to read the scriptures and learn about our Savior each and every day! Amo todos voces e ate proxima semana!

VAI BRASIL!!

Hello everyone!

First of all THE CHURCH IS TRUE! VAI BRASIL! So many things happened this week for all of those who prayed for Zilda...your prayers were answered! She was baptized Saturday! It was amazing! I have been teaching her since my first week in the field so to watch her change and make the decision to be baptized was a great feeling! The baptismal meeting had a great turnout and the spirit was really strong! They always thank me for finding and teaching them and say how our lessons are changing their lives but really its the other way around! I never thought one of my best friends would be a 60 year old woman that lived in Brazil but I was definitely wrong! I have learned so much from Penha and Zilda and I just love them so much! We also got our new president this week! I haven't met him yet but we are having an emergency zone conference with him this Wednesday so I'm excited to meet him! He also changed the rules so we can watch all the games of Brasil, have day as a district and travel a little further on P-days so we are super pumped for that! We were going to hike Pico de vivbo this P-day but then we decided to stay and watch the game with Brasil vs. Mexico. Shout out to all my Mexican buddies, better luck next time! Hope you all had the chance to watch the beautifully played game by Brazil! Well that's about all I can think of for this week! We are still working with Jose and he is marked to be baptized this Saturday so any prayers would help! We have a lot of people to work with this week and we are really excited! I love my companion so much, she is a little crazy but so am I so it works out! I love you all and I hope you are all doing amazing! I'm loving it here in Brazil. I think I might just stay here forever...but if not I'll see you all in about 13 months! Love you all! ate Proxima Semana! Beijo!
