Happy New Year!

Hello everyone!!! Well Christmas was great! It was a little weird just being with my companions and not the family but then we did skype and everything was a little more normal but it was amazing because I had a lot of time to focus on the true meaning of Christmas and my love for the Savior has grown so much, I just love him a whole lot. On Christmas night we went to a members house to eat dinner and we had permission to stay out a little longer than normal...It was a lot of fun but I think my body is used to going to bed early because I pretty much just turned in to a zombie, haha everyone was laughing at me because my eyes were glazed over, haha it was wild. We were able to find a few people this week but its been a little hard to mark and find people with Christmas and the new year because everyone is at the beach including all of our investigators but we have a lot of appointments for this week that we are excited about. Today for pday we had pday with the district so we played soccer...I think I have many talents but I have found that soccer is not one of them.... but its a work in progress...we also played soccer with a bunch of 12 and 10 year olds who absolutely cream us. It was me and my 2 companions against them.....the end score was 6-1 but I was proud that I was even able to make a goal lol! I love being a missionary! Then tonight for new years we have to be in our house at 6pm because the streets get a little crazy here haha but it should be a good time. Being in a trio is a lot of fun! Well I have to go right now and the computer is not allowing me to send photos so I will have to send them next week I love you all and have a great hope you all set goals for 2019 that will help bring you closer to Christ!

President's Christmas Present

Hello Everyone!!
This week was fabulous!!! This week we had Zone Conference, but for our Christmas present, President Miller took our whole zone to the Capminus Temple. We all got in a big bus and went to the Campinus temple, it only took about 2 hours! On the way there he pulled out a giant box of bells with notes on them and sheet music and we sang Christmas songs on the way to the temple.......a lot of our zone is elders....and most of us have 0 musical talent so you can imagine how beautiful it was haha, but it was a lot of fun and helped me feel more of the Christmas spirit in the 100 degree humidity! The temple was oh so good, we got to stay there almost the whole day and the spirit was so powerful there! I just love the temple. It was almost like it was my first time because it has been so long since I have been and it was a good reminder of how important the covenants that we make in the temple are! I loved every second of it. We also helped a family in our ward move this week, and it was actually a lot of fun I forgot how much I love to clean and organize! (I hope you are all finding lots of new ways to light the world) Then Sunday was just oh so good, our recent convert Matheus received the priesthood!! Before church we also went to pick up Jampietre and he wasn't there so we were a little bummed and walked to church alone but then when we got there he was sitting on the front row with a big smile waiting for us!!! I was so happy! We also had a couple other people that we are teaching at church as well who are all working towards baptism and praying for their answers but can be baptized any day now so that's exciting! I love them all so much and watching them change as they come to understand the doctrines of the gospel! Then today we went to the Nature park with our district again and it was superb (trying to use new words my comp told me I needed to) WE SAW MORE MONKEYS and fed them coconuts!! Another animal that I don't know what its called but I will send picts, they were super cute! Well we have a lot of work to do and activities that we have planned this week and I'm super excited! I love my comp, I love the work and I love our Savior! I hope you are all taking the time to light the world and serve others because when we serve others we are really serving God by helping his children! I love you all and I hope you have a great week!!!

Light the World!

Melhor Semana!! BEST WEEK! Hello, Hello, Hello!
I hope you all had as good of a week as I did. A lot of things happened this week but I will try to keep it short and sweet! This week after our lunch appointment our friend Bratris taught sister Fuentes and I how to use eyeliner because we both stink at makeup....Then when we were going to our next appointment it was pretty windy and my eyes started watering super bad, lets just say watery eyes and eyeliner do not go well together and we looked like raccoons the rest of the day! Our recent convert, Gabriel turned 21 so we had a little party with him which was a lot of fun. We also made a new investigator that lives in a bus...but low key his bus is nicer than where we live (no complaints, it's a super decked out bus) It's basically a trailer. His name is Jampeitre and he is easily one of the funniest people I have ever met and has got some great stories! Then Mattheus was BAPTIZED on Saturday and it was so amazing! I always pray that we can find the people that the Lord is preparing and Matheus is easily one of the most prepared people I have taught on my mission! The meeting was amazing and the spirit was so strong. There was also a great turn out from the ward. (I love the vila Matilde ward so much) Matheus even bore his testimony which was so powerful! Right after the baptism he made visits with us and is pumped to prepare for a mission! He will be an excellent missionary. We also found a lot of potential investigators last week that we are excited to visit this week. Then on Sunday we had a good number of investigators at church! I was so excited that (in the middle of the bishop's testimony) when we went to sit by Vicente and Roseli I tripped and landed on top of sister Fuentes, lol, it was super loud but super graceful! Well I think I covered the important points this week. I also read the Christmas devotional talk by President Nelson which was amazing if you haven't watched it. I challenge you to do so! I also hope you are all looking for ways to light the world always but especially this month as we celebrate our Savior Jesus Christ because when we were others we are serving HIM! I love HIM so much and I am so happy to be serving HIM! I also love all of you and hope you have the BEST week ever and light the world!

Artist Living in a Bus

Hello everyone this week was a funny week! I don't even remember all of what happened but I know that Sister Fuentes and I laughed a lot! This last week some new missionaries arrived here in the mission and they all got here saying "Feliz Natal" some Brasilians in the CTM taught them that it meant good morning but it means Happy Christmas so they have all been wishing everyone a Merry Christmas since the beginning of November which me and my companion thought was hilarious and taught them how to say all the words they were taught wrong right hahah......also every time I sneeze my companion says, "God bless you" and I have had allergies the past week so I have been very blessed by my companion.... haha teaching her English is still a work in progress...... So this week we did A LOT of walking but we were very blessed because of it! We also found a new investigator that I'm super excited about because he's so funny. He's a 65 year old artist with an Italian name ...Janpeirr who lives in a bus that he turned into a trailer (its fancier than where me and my companion live....) and travels from state to state painting and meeting new people. He parked his bus right in front of the church and will be living there for a while to have medical procedures done on his knee! He came to church with us un Sunday and loved it and had everyone laughing and was friends with everyone by the end. He has a heart of pure gold so we are excited to keep teaching him! If everything goes good this week Biatris will be baptized on Saturday and we are very excited about that so everyone keep her in your prayers! I love her so much and I'm pretty sure she was one of my friends up in the pre-mortal life! We also found some other really good people to teach this week that we are very excited about, and tonight we are going to teach Kaytano who is from Africa and he will be making African food for us so we will see how that goes but I am pumped! This week was just a solid 10/10! I have also strengthened my testimony a lot this week of the power of fasting! I'm so grateful for the power of fasting and the opportunity we have to receive even more blessings and answers! Not even going to lie hangry is a very real thing for me and usually when I fasted I was not the happiest camper but I know that if we do it with a good attitude it can be a fast that we will feel the spirit throughout the whole fast and feel even stronger the love that our Savior has for us! I love you all and I hope that every fast Sunday can be a spiritual experience for you like it has become for me! Boa semana e amo todos vocĂȘs
